Seagate SATA Drive Not Recognized
If its not even attempting to look for a driver I would swap out cables, that usually prompts windows to detect new hardware. I’ve been reading posts regarding “Initio Default Controller” causing the same problem. Words like “u” for “you” and sentences that make no sense whatsoever are the norm. What could be the problem? FWIW, the drivers that come with USB or Firewire enclosures are usually for Windows ’98, since it was not distributed with drivers for these interfaces.
